Small Businesses are the backbone of our economy. According to the Small Business Administration, there are 8 million small businesses owned by people of color which accounts for over 26% of all small businesses in the United States. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, small businesses have been heavily impacted and they are scrambling to survive in this challenging environment.

Please join BACHAC as we launch our virtual wellness series featuring experts in health, business, fitness, nutrition, and more. BACHAC is honored to welcome Robert Shoffner as our first speaker. Robert is uniquely qualified to share his expertise and experience to help our small businesses navigate and thrive in the new landscape.

 

About our Speaker:
Robert Shoffner is the Director of MBA Programs/Lecturer at Golden Gate University. He leads course and curricula design and ongoing course and program assessment, oversees content and delivery of all MBA core courses, manages scheduling of classes and assignment of faculty for MBA courses, and recruits, selects, develops and mentors adjunct MBA faculty. He provides instruction in subjects including Business, Management, Strategy, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Robert is also the program manager of the Chevron Small Business and Entrepreneurship program and Golden Gate University. Robert was the Director of the San Mateo County Small Business Development Center where he directed a team of advisors to assist small businesses and entrepreneurs in San Mateo County. Robert has also held various leadership roles within Citibank ranging from commercial and business banking, retail banking strategies and products, to regional operations and SBA initiatives.
 
A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Robert attended Brown University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in American Civilization. He also has an MBA degree from Golden Gate University. Robert holds securities licenses of Series 7, 63 and 24.
